BIRS, short for Budapest Interbank Rate Swap, represents the benchmark interest rate similar to BUBOR but for longer tenors. It serves as a key indicator for long-term interest rates in Hungary, reflecting the cost of interbank lending.

These rates are updated each business day by the HNB and published at around 11:00 CET.
