NBP reference rates

The latest National Bank of Poland (NBP) reference exchange rates. These are usually updated at around 12:00 CET every working day. The reference rates are published for information purposes only.

The NBP publishes the foreign exchange reference rates for all the official currencies of non-euro area Member States of the European Union. Beyond that, the foreign exchange reference rates may include other world currencies.

The rates are determined as the mid (arithmetic average) of the bid and ask quotes observed.

POLONIA

The POLONIA reference rate represents the weighted average interest rate on unsecured interbank deposits concluded on an overnight basis. It is published by the NBP each business day at around 17:00 CET.

POLONIA is mainly used for settling OIS contracts though it is also applied with an increasing frequency in banks as a benchmark for defining the cost of funding.
